SIITA Nest Home
SIITA Nest Home in Uganda houses young people from various backgrounds; some have lost both parents to AIDS, civil war or abandonment. All have a painful past but have found joy here at SIITA – you can see it in their eyes. These at-risk youth are creating beautiful jewelry and accessories made of paper beads and other green materials such as banana leaves.
James grew up at SIITA from the time he was 14 when his parents both died. Now, fresh from university with a degree in art design, he heads up the jewelry project at SIITA.
